SMC To Install Swing Gates In BRTS Lane

BRTS is successfully running its operation and serving easy transportation to Surties in its Two Phases- Udhna and Canal Corridor. But the main Headache for SMC is the Private Vehicle owner who enters the BRTS Lane which is restricted for others Except BRT bus and Emergency Vehicle.

So SMC is to install Swing gates to each bus Station on both the side of both the routes- Udhna and Canal Corridor. And SMC will Spend 3.88 cr. to install Swing gates in BRTS Lane. After the noticing satisfactory result of testing on Udhna Route at Satyam Nagar Bus Station; SMC decided to install 104 swing gates on all 52 bus station.

This Automatic Swing Gates will operate through sensor. The gates will automatically open when bus is 10 meter far from gate. For that sensor will be fixed in each Gate and in Each Bus. Gates will automatically closed after 20 seconds as bus leaves the station. But the whole installation process will take 3 months.
